Retail traders who know some Python are stuck between two bad options. On one side, no-code trading bots like 3Commas and Pionex are black boxes — easy to start with, but impossible to truly customize or understand what’s happening under the hood. On the other, professional quant platforms like QuantConnect and Hummingbot offer real control, but come with a steep learning curve and weren’t built with AI at their core.
Namex came to us with a clear gap to fill: there was no platform built for the technical retail trader who wants genuine control over their strategies without enterprise-level complexity — and who wants AI to accelerate the process, not replace their judgment. The challenge was to build a platform that turns a trader’s idea, written in plain English, into executable, backtestable, and deployable trading strategies — securely, and in real time.

We built Namex as a complete quant trading platform with AI at its core. A trader describes a strategy in plain English — for example, “Buy BTC when RSI drops below 30 and price is under the Bollinger lower band” — and the platform’s AI generates clean, parameterized strategy code ready to test.
We didn't want another black-box bot or a platform that needed a PhD to operate. ChainZ built exactly what we envisioned — a platform where a trader's idea becomes a working, tested strategy in minutes, with AI doing the heavy lifting and the trader staying in control.

From there, traders backtest against historical data with clear performance metrics — return, Sharpe ratio, maximum drawdown, and win rate — before risking any capital. The platform offers two execution modes: Signal mode tracks how a strategy would perform without placing real orders, while Live mode executes orders directly on connected exchanges based on strategy signals. Security was non-negotiable: API keys are encrypted at rest and decrypted only at the moment of execution. A multi-channel notification system keeps traders informed through in-app alerts, email, webhooks, Discord, and Telegram. We delivered the full web application — from architecture through to production deployment.
Namex launched as a complete, working platform deployed at app.namex.tech — handling AI strategy generation, backtesting, live exchange integration, and real-time notifications in production. The platform successfully bridges the gap between black-box simplicity and professional-grade control, giving technical retail traders a tool that was previously missing from the market.
